Journey to discover your Soul Note

“Every soul carries a note — a frequency that remembers who we’ve always been.”

NOVEMBER 2025

Understanding Your Unique Frequency and the Call of Your Soul Family

Every so often, a shamanic journey gifts us a piece of wisdom that feels like a memory rather than a revelation — something ancient, familiar, and bone-deep. In early November, while at a drumming retreat, I found myself before a large obelisk marked with glyphs of light language. During the first journey, we were called back just as I arrived at the obelisk, unable to cross the threshold. I turned to stay and was told – ‘not yet’. The second night, I set an intention to move inside if it was for my highest good, and sure enough I was taken by one of my Guides back to the obelisk gateway, and the stone door opened.

Inside was a chamber filled with codes streaming through space. Inside was a single thick stone sarcophagus chamber that I instinctively lay within. I then became aware that all my guides, ancestors, animal allies and soul family had formed a circle around the chamber. I lay inside and we all started humming a single unified tone — a tone that I recognised not as sound, but as me. My soul note. I lifted from my body, becoming light, and saw rings of soul families rippling through the cosmos like an infinite, harmonic constellation, bound together by shared learnings, vision and missions.

This journey, as always, got me thinking… ‘What does it mean that each of us has our own frequency — our own soul note — and how does this relate to our individual path, our soul family, and the collective?’

Let’s dive in!

What Is a Soul Note?

A soul note is the unique energetic frequency of your being — the harmonic essence that underlies all expressions of who you are. In many ancient traditions, the soul is believed to have a sound, a vibration, or a signature resonance that exists before personality, before form, and before incarnation.

Across cultures, we find similar ideas:

  • Ancient Egyptians spoke of the Ren, the deeply personal name of a soul, believed to carry its resonance across lifetimes.

  • Sanskrit traditions refer to Nada Brahma — ‘the world is sound’ — implying each being exists as a note within the cosmic symphony.

  • Pythagorean mysticism described the ‘music of the spheres,’ where celestial bodies emitted tones that formed the structure of reality.

  • Shamanic cultures speak of tonal frequencies that make up a person’s spiritual identity, often received through initiatory journeys.

In modern energetic terms, your soul note can be understood as:

  • The core frequency your field naturally returns to

  • The essence you carry across lifetimes

  • The vibration your guides and soul family recognise instantly

  • The harmonic that aligns you with your highest path

Your soul note isn’t static. It evolves as you evolve — but its underlying resonance never changes.

Your Individual Frequency: Why It Matters

Understanding or feeling your soul note isn’t about discovering something external or exotic. It’s about remembering something foundational about your being.

1. It anchors you into your truth

Your soul note acts like a blueprint. When you’re aligned with it, you feel clear, grounded, and connected to your purpose. When you deviate from it, you sense dissonance — the subtle tug that something is off.

2. It shapes your intuitive communication

Your guides communicate through resonance. When you’re attuned to your soul note, intuitive messages land more easily. You feel supported, guided, and held.

3. It influences your energy healing

Whether giving or receiving healing, your soul note determines how energies move through your field. Alignment with your frequency enhances healing outcomes, strengthens your boundaries, and clarifies your channel.

4. It’s the foundation of authenticity

People often use the term ‘being in alignment.’ Energetically, this alignment is your soul note. It’s the frequency of:

  • Your values

  • Your truth

  • Your lived experience

  • Your emotional landscape

  • Your purpose

When you live in accordance with your soul note, you feel congruent within yourself and with the world around you.

How your Soul Note connects you with your Guides

In my journey, I understood that our guides know us through resonance, through our energetic body - our light body, and vice versa. As you deepen your relationship with the non-physical, you will perceive them also in this state. I feel the unique vibration of my Guide team, often before I can see them. Guides recognise you by the vibration you emit, the resonance of your field and the harmonic threads you carry from lifetime to lifetime.

Soul Families: Harmonic Groups Across Timelines

A soul family is not a random gathering of familiar energies; it is a harmonic constellation. These are the beings who share your origin, your resonance, and often your purpose across lifetimes. A soul group (or soul family) is a collective of souls who:

  • Emerge from a similar energetic source, lineage, or star origin

  • Hold compatible foundational frequencies

  • Share overarching themes of growth or service

  • Reincarnate together in varied roles to support each other’s evolution

  • Recognise one another instantly through resonance rather than memory

This is why some people feel instantly familiar. It is not personality recognition — it is resonance recognition.

The Shared Themes of a Soul Group

Soul families tend to orbit a set of collective themes — almost like different faculties or specialisations within a spiritual university. Not every member holds the same lesson, but the group will be drawn toward particular archetypal experiences. These may include:

1. Healing and Restoration

Soul families centred around compassion, nurturing, and returning others to wholeness. Many healers, empaths, and caretakers belong to this lineage.

2. Expression and Transmission

Groups who work through sound, light, communication, creativity, channelling, and energetic transmission. These beings often work with light language, tones, writing, symbols, or codes.

3. Leadership and Stewardship

Lineages focused on protection, structure, guidance, and anchoring wisdom into communities. They may incarnate as leaders, mentors, or space holders.

4. Wisdom Keepers

Families who hold ancient memory, esoteric knowledge, or teachings from other realms. Their lives often revolve around truth-seeking, mysticism, or education.

5. Shadow and Liberation

Groups who explore alchemy through depth, transformation, trauma healing, or karmic unravelling. They often incarnate into significant personal or ancestral work.

6. Weavers and Bridgers

Interdimensional harmonics who carry the ability to move between worlds, realms, and timelines. Mediums, shamans, and intuitives are often from these lineages.

The Gifts Soul Families Carry

Each soul family carries distinct gifts woven through their collective frequency. These may express differently for each individual, but they harmonise.

These gifts can include:

  • Energetic abilities such as healing, telepathy, or frequency work

  • Memory access to past lives, ancient traditions, or star origins

  • Creative or expressive gifts like intuitive art, voice activation, or symbolic language

  • Service roles of leadership, compassion, or guardianship

  • Synchronicity magnetism where members find each other at pivotal moments

When soul family members come together, in spirit or human form, their energies amplify one another. They activate dormant gifts, awaken memory pathways, and strengthen each other’s clarity.

Karmic Threads and Evolution Across Lifetimes

Soul families don’t simply travel together — they grow together.

Certain souls take on catalytic roles for each other, agreeing to help one another evolve through shared incarnations, transformative relationships, deep healing agreements, karmic balancing and pivotal soul lessons.

These dynamics aren’t always gentle. Some of the most challenging people in our lives are, paradoxically, members of our soul family fulfilling an evolutionary contract.

Across timelines, these relationships shift. A soul who challenged you in one life may be a guardian in another. A partner in one lifetime may return as a mentor or sibling in another.

How to Connect with Your Soul Note in Daily Life

You can connect through simple, grounded practices, such as:

1. Breath Awareness

Slow, intentional breathing helps stabilise your field so you can perceive your underlying frequency.

2. Humming or Toning

Your soul note may not match your physical voice — but humming can help you feel vibration in your chest, skull, and heart.

3. Sitting in silence

Frequency is easiest to perceive when external noise falls away.

4. Reiki and energy healing

Receiving healing shifts you back toward your baseline resonance.

5. Writing or channelling

Sometimes your soul note expresses through words before it expresses through sound.

6. Returning to intention

Simply asking begins to open the path.

Musing in Summary

Each of us carries a unique frequency, a soul note that shapes our path, our relationships, and our spiritual evolution. This note is ancient, personal, and recognisable to our guides and soul family. When we align with it, we move through the world with clarity, authenticity, and purpose.

‘As we each return to our resonance, the collective becomes more harmonious. As we remember our note, we help others find theirs. This is how healing ripples outward — one frequency at a time.’
