Into the Field That Holds Everything
“You are not in the universe, separate to — the universe is unfolding through you.”

The Void — Remembering the Field of All That Is
There is a space that exists beneath all things. Beneath thought. Beneath identity. Beneath the stories we carry about who we are. It is not empty in the way we have been taught to understand emptiness. It is not absence. It is presence — vast, intelligent, alive. A fertile void.
Across time, cultures, and traditions, this underlying presence has been recognised — not as something separate from us, but as the very fabric of existence itself. And yet, no single word has ever been able to fully covey it, perhaps as it is unconveyable. So humanity has given it many names… each one pointing toward the same ineffable truth.
Sacred and Spiritual Traditions
In different lineages, the Field has been felt and described as:
The Akasha — in Vedic philosophy, the subtle ether that holds all memory and vibration
The Great Spirit — in many Indigenous traditions, the living intelligence within all things
The Divine Beloved — in Sufi mysticism, the presence of love that both creates and longs to be known
Ein Sof — in Kabbalah, the infinite, boundless aspect of the divine beyond form
The Tao — the natural, effortless flow from which all life arises
Śūnyatā (Emptiness) — not absence, but infinite interconnection and potential
Modern Science Translations
As science begins to explore the nature of reality at its most fundamental level, new language has emerged, not to replace the old, but to describe the same mystery through a different lens. You may hear it referred to as:
The Quantum Field — a field of infinite potential where all possibilities exist before they become matter
The Zero-Point Field — the lowest energy state of the universe, yet rich with latent energy and information
The Unified Field — suggesting all forces and particles arise from a single source
The Fabric of Spacetime — the underlying structure within which all physical reality unfolds
The Electromagnetic Field — the dynamic exchange of energy and information moving through and around the body
Different language, same quiet revelation. Everything is connected. Everything arises from the same underlying field.
What Is the Void, Really?
When we hear the word void, the mind often interprets it as nothingness — a blank, lifeless space. But those who have touched it — through meditation, stillness, or expanded states of conciousness— describe something entirely different…
A field of infinite potential
A space of pure awareness
A presence that holds all possibilities before they coalesce into physical matter
It is the place before creation, and the substance within creation. And it is not separate from us, it is us, at our most essential level.
The Language of the Ancients
Long before modern science began exploring the fabric of reality, ancient traditions spoke of this unified field of existence.
In the Vedic texts, reality arises from Brahman — the infinite, unchanging field of consciousness
In the Tao Te Ching, the Tao is described as the nameless source from which all things flow
In Buddhist philosophy, Śūnyatā (emptiness) is not nothingness, but boundless interconnection
In Hermetic teachings like The Kybalion, we are told: “The All is Mind”
There has always been an understanding that, we are not separate from the universe — we are expressions of it.
Quantum Mechanics: Science Meets the Sacred
What is most fascinating is that modern science, in quantum physics, is beginning to echo these ancient insights.
The Double Slit Experiment
One of the most profound experiments in physics, the Double Slit Experiment revealed something extraordinary:
When particles (like electrons or photons) are not observed, they behave like waves — existing in multiple possibilities at once
When they are observed, they collapse into a single, defined state — behaving like particles
In simple terms, The act of observation influences reality. This challenges everything we once believed about the universe being fixed and separate from us. Instead, it suggests:
Consciousness plays a role in shaping reality
Possibility exists before form
Reality is not solid — it is responsive
The Observer Within You
If observation influences reality… then what does that mean for you?
It means your:
Thoughts
Emotions
Beliefs
Attention / Intention
…are not passive. They are participatory. So you are not just experiencing reality, you are co-creating it. This is where science begins to meet what spiritual traditions have long taught, your inner state shapes your outer world.
The Body as the Bridge
In our modern world, we have often been conditioned to trust the mind above all else. But emerging understanding — both scientific and somatic — reveals something deeper. The body is not secondary. It is central. Within the body exists an intricate web — the fascia — a connective tissue network that runs through the entire system. This network stores memory, transmits information and communicates continuously with the brain.
Rather than the brain being the sole command centre, the brain is the radio receiver and the body is the messenger through sensing, responding and informing. You are not just thinking your reality into existence; you are feeling it, embodying it, signalling it into being.
Thought, Emotion, Word, Action: The Creative Sequence
When we begin to see ourselves as part of this unified field, something shifts. Creation becomes a lived process, where:
Thought — the seed of possibility
Emotion — the energetic charge that amplifies it
Word — the expression that begins to shape form
Action — the embodiment that grounds it into reality
This is not about control. It is about coherence. When your inner world is aligned, your outer world begins to reflect that harmony.
The Illusion of Separation
One of the most profound realisations that arises when we touch the Void is this:
Separation is an experience — not a fundamental truth.
We appear as individuals. We move through life as “me” and “you”. However, beneath that is one field, one consciousness, one intelligence expressing itself in countless forms. The illusion of separation allows for experience, for relationship, for growth, for discovery.
There are moments in life where knowledge and mental understanding shift from concept into lived experience. For me, it has been through deep meditative practice, at times in immersive retreat environments or in absolute solitude where the noise of the external world is totally dialled right down. In sustained stillness and opened awareness, the mind begins to quiet, and you become aware of no-one, no-thing, no-body, no-where, no-time.
What remains is not emptiness, but a connection to this fertile void. It is a consciousness which some have described as unity consciousness or divine intelligence that is an infinite field of LOVE.
The Collective Awakening
There is a shift happening across science, spirituality, and human experience. Threads are beginning to weave together.
Science is questioning the nature of reality
Ancient wisdom is being revisited with new eyes
Individuals are exploring consciousness through direct experience
This is not about one perspective replacing another. It is about integration. A remembering that truth has never belonged to one system, it has always lived within the whole.
Invitation to Reflect
Take a moment to pause. Not to think with your logical mind, but to feel.
“Before “you” arise… what is aware?”
There is no need to force understanding. The Void is not something to figure out. It is something to experience.
Musing in Summary
The Void is not empty. It is full beyond comprehension. It is the field from which all things arise, and the presence within all things.
Ancient traditions have spoken of it, science is beginning to observe it, and within you, it can be directly known and felt.
You are not separate from this field, you are an expression of it, a creator within it. Consciousness experiencing itself.
